Sugar skull makeup

This is an idea which has been in my mind for like ages but I am glad to tell you that it is soon going to be real thanks to Mathilde Xavier who seems to be okay to collaborate with me on this wonderful project! This is a really important project to me and you will understand why whilst reading the paragraph below.

A bit of history:

Day of the Dead (SpanishDía de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in many cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. It is particularly celebrated in Mexico, where it attains the quality of a National Holiday, and all banks are closed. The celebration takes place on November 1–2, in connection with the Catholic holidays of All Saints' Day (November 1) and All Souls' Day (November 2). Traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars honoring the deceased using sugar skullsmarigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed and visiting graves with these as gifts. They also leave possessions of the deceased.

Calaveras de azúcar or Sugar skulls are used to adorn altars and can be eaten. They refer to a number of cultural phenomena associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead and the Roman Catholic holiday All Souls Day.

What do you think, had you ever heard about Sugarskulls and the day of the dead?
